If you didn’t get a chance to do a video interview about your experiences at HUMYF, you have more chances!!! This Sunday, August 29th, we will be set up in building 100-room110 from 11:15am-5:00pm. Come and share about Sunday School, SNL, Small Groups, and HUMYF Events. Clips from these videos will be a part of our upcoming youth service on Sunday, September 12th, and they will be on an HUMYF DVD that we hope to have ready by 2011.

Student Leader Training!!!
Sunday, August 29th 1:30-3:30pm in Multi-Purpose Room
All students who are interested in being a part of the Student Leadership Team are encouraged to join us as we begin our training. Anyone from 6th-12th grade is welcome to be a part of this team. Orientation will begin on Sunday, August 29th.
This will be a great opportunity for you to find out what your spiritual gifts are and how God can and wants to use you in ministry.

Any students and adults who want to know more about running the sound board, lights, and video presentations for HUMYF events like SNL, please come this Sunday @ 12:30pm.. Bring money for lunch.
I would like to be able to train all the adult leaders, so that when people are away we’ll have it covered.
HUMYF Annual Video Interviews

We would like for as many people as possible, youth and adults, who have been involved with HUMYF Events and Programming to do an interview on video. You can talk about your experiences at BigStuf, Jamaica, Salkehatchie, Bethlehem Center, SNL, Sunday School, Small Groups, and more….
We would like to use some of the video clips for our upcoming Youth Service and HUMYF DVD that will be available for new visitors. It won’t take long and it will be painless, I promise:) We want to be able to share with the rest of our church family about our experiences, so they can share in our joy and Praise the Lord!

The Youth of HUMC will be having a fund-raiser at Rising Roll in Ballantyne. It’s in the same shopping area as Five Guys and Salsaritas. Rising Roll opens early for Breakfast @ around 8am and stays open till 4pm.. You can go at any time during the day. When you go to the register to pay, just tell them that you are here for the “Harrison Fund-Raiser”. They will give a percentage of every meal for “Harrison Fund-Raiser” to HUMYF. John & Carolyn Nowaczewski, the owners, have been long time friends and supporters of our church and Youth Ministry. Invite as many people as you can!!! They have great food!!!

BETHLEHEM CENTER UPDATE!!!
Last day of Bethlehem Center is on Friday, August 6th. Meet @ Church 8:30am. Bring sack lunch. We will be back at the church @ 3:30pm.
We will not be going Bethlehem Center tomorrow, Thursday, August 5th, because they are going on a field trip to Salisbury, North Carolina.
We have had a great week playing with kid’s, reading and writing stories. We went bowling with them on Tuesday.

I know that there have been several that have expressed interest in participating in our annual visit to Bethlehem Center. However, I only have 1 person officially signed up.
